April 10

There’s nothing like a family hike. The New Canaan Nature Center, Irwin Park, and Waveny Park are great local options. If you’re feeling adventurous, check out Ward Pound Ridge Reservation (about a 8 mile drive from downtown New Canaan).

Try pencils, markers, crayons, and different types of paints and see what yields the best result.

April 13

Elm Street Books and the New Canaan Library are incredible local options to pick up a new book. Put on some comfortable socks, make yourself a warm beverage, and curl up to read.

Week 1

April 1

Was it Colonel Mustard in the Dining Room with the Candlestick? Enjoy some friendly competition with a family board game night.

Clue and Game of Life are classics, but if you’re looking to get more competitive, try Monopoly or a new spin on an old classic, like Monopoly Cheater’s Edition or Game of Life: Quarter Life Crisis. Check out the local selections at New Canaan Toy Store or the Toy Chest in New Canaan.

April 2

Dim the lights and tell each other scary stories.

If you’re hard pressed to come up with your own ghost stories, check out Elm Street Books or the New Canaan Library for a copy of Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark. Or try browsing Wikipedia for some local urban legends.

April 3

Visit a new restaurant to expand your palate and try ordering a new dish!

If you’re looking to find a new restaurant you didn’t even know you were looking for, check out this list! New Canaan has so many amazing restaurants – you’re bound to find your new favorite!
