In Parent Carousel, What Is Happening At CARES, Youth

This summer, we are piloting Summer Lite – Leadership Challenge Institute for students who are unable to take part in the program during the regular school year. This group will be limited to 12 students, on a first come, first served, basis.

After participating in our Leadership Challenge Program, you can expect to be more adept at public speakingorganizationpoise, communicationgoal settingtime management, guiding others, and teambuilding. Most exciting, you will have the opportunity and responsibility for planning, implementing and evaluating a team leadership project which will allow you to apply your leadership skills with community members of all ages. For your efforts, you will receive a personal portfolio, certificate of graduation, wonderful new relationships, and a new understanding of your leadership strengths. Leadership Challenge sessions are led by CARES Executive Director, Meg Domino, PhD, who has an extensive background in motivational speaking, curriculum development and youth programming.

Dates for Summer Lite Leadership Challenge: July 10, 11, 12 – 5-9:30 pm; and August 21, 22, 23 5:00 to 9:30 pm – in addition to a team project that will be dependent on student schedules (limited to 12 students)
